Michael Sanderling guest at Gürzenich Orchester Cologne

Symphonic Concert N°4 on January 09th, 10th and 11th, 2011

Two excellent young artists will make their debut at Gürzenich Orchestra with the Symphonic Concert N°4: The conductor Michael Sanderling, recently appointed chief conductor of the Dresdner Philharmonie, and the Finnish pianist Antti Siirala. After his concert at Wiener Musikverein a critic certified: »Each phrase of his interpretation is filled with fine, contained and intelligent musical sense«. He is the soloist in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's breezy concerto for piano N° 20, already in his lifetime one of his most popular solo concertos. In the second part of the concert, Michael Sanderling will conduct the Symphony N°5 by Dmitri Shostakovich.
