Gala el Hadidi stands in for Rennée Flemming at Dresden Semperoper December 2010

Gala el Hadidi performed the aria "I feel pretty" from West Side Story at the ZDF New Years Eve Gala at Semperoper Dresden (Concert on December 30th) replacing Renée Fleming under the direction of Christian Thielemann.

The mezzo-soprano has been member of the Young Ensemble of the Semperoper Dresden since the season 2010/11. She has been performing Second Lady in »Magic Flute«, Hansel in »Hansel and Gretel«, Maid in Richard Strauss' »Daphne« as well as Henze's »Gisela!«.
